THE RHYTHMATORS - CHRIS CLIFTON, MICHAEL J. DOHONEY AND MIKE STOCKTON, are all Texans, originally from Fort Worth, who first came together as sidemen for Texas roadhouse legend Delbert McClinton. After touring with McClinton they started their own band, PUMP, with fellow Texan Randy Cobb. The bands first gigs were in Colorado and so well received that they stayed on much to the delight of the ski towns where their brand of Texas Soul Rockin’Blues was a hit. They based out of Colorado for more than two years, developing their style. When opportunity to play with national acts came, they went their separate ways settling in different parts of the U S. Clifton went to North Carolina, working the east coast to Key West, Dohoney to Los Angeles, and Stockton back to Texas via New Orleans, but they remained in touch. After touring with national and international acts, recording for major labels and various television and film scores, and being in demand as session players, the three Texans have come full circle to reunite as THE RHYTHMATORS. They are reunified on a brand new twelve song CD of all original music called BEYOND THE BLUES. Due for release at the end of November 2009, this new CD is not your typical blues album. It is a compelling blend of soul, rock, gospel and R&B inspired by years of paying dues and experience. The music and lyrics come from daily life and will hit you where you live, bound to move you. . . .Red Seidman was an amazing multi-instrumentalist most known for his fiddle playing. This CD was recorded live at the Hog’s Breath Saloon in Key West Florida on the day that Red Seidman left us. Red was a staple at “the Hog” and we dedicated the night to Red Seidman as “The Red Sessions”. Red we miss you. .

THE CHRIS CLIFTON BAND is focused on providing high-quality musical entertainment with the best of Classic Rock and Blues. Chris Clifton playing the guitar reminds many of Eric Clapton or Stevie Ray Vaughn as he effortlessly lets his fingers work the neck of his Fender Stratocaster Guitar. Located and playing music often in Hickory, NC area the band still loves to travel; recently performing in Key West, FL on a regular basis along with Destin, FL, High Point, NC, Charleston, SC, Atlanta, GA, Richmond, Va and Baltimore, MD. Currently working on tours / play dates in Texas, Chicago, IL and Asheville, NC while open to any venue to showcase the unique talents of the band.
